I sent a request to your group through the US Mail in October 2005 for help in researching an obituary for my great great grandmother, Emeliza Sisco (Cisco) Smith. It detailed all the info I had on her. I included a check to cover expenses and a stamped envelope for a response - even if you could not find the info. To date I have not heard back from anyone. Was my request received? Could someone please help me? Thank you.

I would like a printout of an obituary of the following person: Bertha Pierce, born in Aug., 1883, and died in Aug., 1979. She lived in Clear Lake, IA, at the time of her death so there should be a notice in the Clear Lake or Globe Gazette paper. I need to know her maiden name. Her husband Ora J. Pierce died in June of 1962 and I would also like a printout of his obituary. Both are buried in the Ventura Cemetery in Ventura, Iowa. If you can get me those two printouts, I will be more than happy to reimburse you. Thank you.

I need to verify one (1) date and place of marriage, and one (1) date and place of divorce. My paternal grandmother was Jennie (or Jane) Christa Butcher. She was born in Kansas in 1885. She married James Gordon Manning in Oklahoma in 1908. She gave birth to my father, Joseph H. Manning, in Wichita, Kansas, in 1911, and then moved to Mason City very shortly after, or possibly earlier than 1912. She divorced Mr. Manning, probably earlier than 1920, and later married Joseph Maurice Power, possibly as early as 1914. It's likely that both the divorce and the second marriage were in Cerro Gordo County. Please try to locate the divorce and second marriage record for me.
