Mary L. Logan
CLEAR LAKEFuneral
services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ward-Van Slyke
Colonial Chapel, l0l N. 4th Street, Clear Lake, for Mrs.
Mary L. Logan, 75, of Green Meadows Trailer Court, Clear
Lake, who died Monday (May 13, 1985) at a Clear Lake
nursing home.
Ron Nutt
and Jeff Evans will officiate and burial will be in Ell
Township Cemetery. Klemme.
Visitation
will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Mrs. Logan
was born May 14, 1909 in Ossineke, Mich., to Jacob and
Emily (Swartz) Eicher. She attended school in Council
Bluffs and married Merle Brown in 1931 in Council
Bluffs. They lived in Omaha, Neb. After his death in
1946 she married John Logan in 1949 in Davenport. They
lived there until he retired from Case Co., and moved to
Clear Lake in 1973.
Mrs. Logan
enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a member of the
Nondenominational Church, Mason City.
Survivors
include her husband, John; one daughter, Mrs. E.J.
(Avalon) Ridder, Clear Lake; one son, Dr. John Robert
Logan, Selah, Wash.; four grandchildren; and four
brothers. Menno, Robert and John Eicher, all of Council
Bluffs, and Henry Eicher, Grand Rapids. Mich.

Paul
MASON CITY
Milo T.
Paul. 84, of 1024 16th NE, died Tuesday (May 14, 1985)
at a Mason City hospital.
Funeral
services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran
Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania, Mason City, with the Rev.
Delmar Jacobson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood
Cemetery, Mason City.
Visitation will be after
2 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Thursday at Major Erickson
Funeral Home, 209 2nd NE. Mason City.
The family
requests memorials be made to the Milo T. Paul Memorial
Fund.
Mr. Paul
was born Nov. 6, 1900 in Rockwell to Thomas and Alice
(Ewing) Paul. He attended rural Rockwell schools and
married Irene Harriet Hanson on Oct. 21, 1945 in Austin,
Minn. He fanned for one year with his brother Edward and
worked at the International Fertilizer plant, Mason
City, for 29 years retiring in 1962.
He was a
member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors
include one sister. Mrs. Joseph (Hattie) Stangler, Mason
City, and several nieces and nephews.
Gertrude R. Biddick
ROCKFORD
Longtime Rockford resident Gertrude R.
Biddick, 97, died Tuesday (May 14. I985 at a Charles
City care center.
Funeral
services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at the United
Methodist Church here, with Pastor William Green
officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,
Rockford.
She was
born Dec. 25, 1887 at Egan, SD., the daughter of Sanford
R. and Ada E. (Cleary) Moore. She came to the Cerro
Gordo and Floyd counties area in 1886. On June 2, 1915,
she married Franklin J. Biddick at Rockford.
Mrs.
Biddick was a member of the United Methodist Church for
over 75 years, and was a member of the United Methodist
Women and the Rockford Women's Club. For over 13 years
she was the night operator for the Farmers Mutual
Telephone Company in Rockford.
Visitation
will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schumburg Funeral
Home, Rockford.
Survivors
include two sons, F. Max of Mason City and Donald M.,
Nashua; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Ada
Burke
GARNER
Mrs. Ada
Burke, 87, of Garner, died Tuesday (May 14, 1985) at a
Garner care center.
Funeral
services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Cataldo
Funeral Chapel here, with the Rev. Jerry Wolcott of the.
United Methodist Church, Garner, officiating. Burial
will be in the Ellington Township Cemetery, northeast of
Miller.
She was
born June 23, 1997 on a farm in Ellington Township,
Hancock County, the daughter of Orrin and Emma (Kutzner)
Willson. She attended rural schools in Ellington
Township, Hampton High School and Ellsworth College at
Iowa Falls. She was married in 1919 to Arley Burke at
Mason City.
Mrs. Burke
owned and managed hotels in Odbolt, Britt and the Motor
Lodge at Forest City. In 1973 she moved to Garner where
she lived with her-sister. She was a member of the
United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge.
Visitation
will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Survivors
include three grandchildren, several
great-grandchildren, and a niece and nephew.
Berniece
Kraus
OSAGE
Mrs.
Robert (Berniece) Kraus, 74, of Osage, died Tuesday (May
14, 1985) at the Osage hospital;
Funeral services will be
held at noon Thursday al Sacred Heart Catholic Church
here, with the Rev. Leon Connolly officiating. Burial
will be in Visitation Cemetery, Stacyville.
She was
born March 19, 1911 at New Haven, the daughter of John
and Josephine (Pox) Miller. She attended New Haven area
schools and was married to Robert Kraus on May 24, 1945
at St. Peter's Church, New Haven. They lived and farmed
in the Stacyville area until 1977 when they moved to
Osage. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church Ladies Guild at Osage.
Visitation
will be after' 2 p.m. today at the Champion Funeral Home
here, where a rosary will be said at 8:30 tonight
Survivors
include her husband, Robert; one daughter, Jane Helvick,
Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Ronald of Waterloo, and Donald,
Elgin, Ill.; two sisters, Lucille Klemesrud, Osage, and
Vera Mauser, Osage; and four grandchildren.
