Dorothy L. Rasmussen, 88, of Sheffield, died on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at the Sheffield Care Center.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 12, at the Richland Lutheran Church in Thornton, with the Rev. Sam Schmeling officiating. Burial was in the Hillside Cemetery, Sheffield. The Retz-Grarup Funeral Home, Sheffield, was in charge of the arrangements.

Howard R. Smith, 82, of Peoria, Arizona, formerly of Hampton, went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 16, 2008.

A victory service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Howard’s name be sent to the Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, Arizona.

Barton L. Boehmler, 83, of Hampton, died on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Mercy Medical Center—North Iowa West Campus in Mason City.

Visitation is planned for Friday, June 27, from 4-6:00 p.m., at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hampton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 10:30 a.m., at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hampton. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery. The Linn's Funeral Home Iowa Falls Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Wayne L. Plagge, 73, of Latimer, died on Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Mercy Medical Center—North Iowa in Mason City.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 26, at 10:00 a.m., at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer. Burial was in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Latimer. The Dugger Funeral Home, Latimer, was in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services with visitation to celebrate the life of Lorene, will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 10-11:30 a.m., at Surls Funeral Home, Iowa Falls, with burial to follow in the North Lawn Cemetery in Iowa Falls.
