Owen
Dale Van Buskirk, age 87, of Osage, died on Saturday,
February 6, 2010, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health
Care Center in Osage.
Funeral service will be
held at a later date.
Owen was born on February
22, 1922 in Belmond, the son of Lloyd and Anna (Brass) Van
Buskirk. He graduated from the Goodell High School. Owen
married Lillian Chapman on August 21, 1945 at the Trinity
Lutheran Church in Mason City, with Pastor Alvin Rogness
officiating. He farmed in Minnesota from 1947 to 1994, after
which Owen and Lillian retired to Osage.
Owen was a member of the
EUB Church in Sargeant, Minnesota. He was also a member of
the NFO. He enjoyed mechanics, traveling, visiting and
reading.
Owen is survived by his
wife, Lillian Van Buskirk of Osage; his children, Lois
(Virgil) Frieden of Bemidji, Minnesota, Harry Van Buskirk of
Sargeant, Minnesota, Harold Van Buskirk of Brownsdale,
Minnesota, Wayne Van Buskirk of Byron, Minnesota, Roy Van
Buskirk of Spring Valley, Minnesota, Linda (Wayne) Jorgenson
of Sargeant, Minnesota, Gary (Laura) Van Buskirk of Rose
Creek, Minnesota, Lloyd Van Buskirk of Brownsdale, Minnesota
and Paul Van Buskirk of Swea City; 18 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Earline Finn,
Carol Lauen, Faye Mewes, Ina Brinkman and Harriet Baker.
He was preceded in death
by his parents; his son, John Van Buskirk; brothers, Earl
Van Buskirk, Gerald Van Buskirk and Russell Van Buskirk;
sisters, Audrey Menninga and Loree Yager.

Corey R. Carpenter
February 18, 2010
Corey R. Carpenter, 31, of
Belmond and Clarion, passed away on Monday, February 8,
2010, in Clarion.
Visitation was held on
Tuesday, February 16. No other public service was held.
Corey Ray Carpenter, the
son of Allen and Tammy (Faulkner) Carpenter, was born on
January 31, 1971 in Belmond. He grew up in the Belmond area
where he attended school. While in high school, he served in
the Army National Guard. He achieved his GED. He worked
several area jobs but was currently a full time stay-at-home
dad.
Corey liked spending time
with his kids and nieces, nephews, brothers and sister. He
collected Coke bottles. He enjoyed drawing, writing poetry
and listening to music. He was a great fan of Metallica and
a proud member of the Metallica Klan.
Corey is survived by two
children, Tiffani and Connor; his girlfriend, Tina and her
children, T.J., Samantha and Shawn; one sister, Michelle and
her fiancée, Jon Haider of Fort Dodge; three brothers,
Daniel and wife, Shayna of Belmond, Dustan and Kalob; his
grandmother, Marion Carpenter of Belmond; and nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death
by his grandparents, Raymond and Opal Faulkner and Merrel
Carpenter.

Boettcher

Marjorie Forrester
Boettcher, 92, passed away suddenly and peacefully on
Monday, February 8, 2010, at her home at Lakewood Meridian,
Lakewood, Colorado.
Memorial services will be
held on Saturday, February 27, at the Christ the King
Lutheran Church in Denver, Colorado.
Marge was born on November
14, 1917 in Fort Collins, Colorado, one of six children of
Rev. Robert H. Forrester and Nadine Hosford Forrester. Most
of her childhood was spent in various towns in Iowa. After
graduating from high school she attended Morningside College
in Sioux City for two years before transferring to Iowa
State University in Ames, where she received a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Home Economics. She taught Home-Ec at
several Iowa high schools and while teaching in Grinnell met
fellow teacher, Arthur August Boettcher.
They were married on
January 25, 1946, after Art returned from the Army and they
moved to Montana where they raised their family, living in
Big Timber and Conrad. Marge returned to teaching in 1961,
teaching junior high Home-Ec and English at Conrad Junior
High.
The family moved to
Denver, Colorado, in 1964 and Marge took a job teaching
Home-Ec at the Sheridan Junior High, where she taught until
her retirement. Art died in 1982 and Marge remained in their
home until 2004, when she moved to the Lakewood Meredian.
She is survived by her
three children, Barbara (Richard) Mussman of Clarion, Susan
(James) Burke of Denver, Colorado and Robert (Tammy Rae)
Boettcher of Blair, Nebraska; six grandchildren; one
great-grandson; a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law; 2
step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death
by her parents; her husband, Art; four brothers, Robert
Forrester, William Forrester, James Forrester and John
Forrester; and one sister, Barbara Forrester Harris.

Clinton O. Hill
February 18, 2010
Clinton Orin Hill, passed
away on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the Rotary Ann
Nursing Home in Eagle Grove, at the age of 67 years.
Memorial services were
held on Monday, February 15, at the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in Eagle Grove, with Pastor Chris Lang officiating.
Visitation was held at the Foust Funeral Home. Burial was in
the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.
Clint the son of Orville
and Cleo (Damon) Hill, was born on October 6, 1942 in
Clarion, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove and
attended the Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge.
Clint served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1965,
stationed in California, Japan and Rhode Island.
Clint married Sandra Kay
Fevold on April 26, 1963. On February 12, 1964, Clint's
parents, Orville and Cleo Hill, Sandra and their unborn
child died from injuries sustained in a car accident. Clint
married Joyce Stockdale of Eagle Grove, on July 24, 1965 at
Newport, Rhode Island. The couple made their home in Eagle
Grove for 45 years.
Clint was a member of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church. He also served as an Eagle
Scout and V.F.W. Commander.
Clint worked for Corn
LP-Gold Eagle Grove Coop, Chicago NW Railroad, for Wright
County Maintenance and as a custodian for the
Clarion-Goldfield Schools. He also was a self-employed
painter and did some construction.
He was preceded in death
by a daughter, Kristine Lee Hill on December 26, 1965;
fathers-in-law, Leo Fevold and Thomas Stockdale;
brothers-in-law, Danny Stockdale and Orin Lerdal; and
sister-in-law, Karen Lerdal.
Survivors include his
wife, Joyce Hill of Eagle Grove; three children, Michael
Alan Stockdale and wife, Michele of Navarre, Florida, Curtis
Dean Hill of Eagle Grove and Teresa (Tracy) Anne Pauls of
Fort Dodge; 5 grandchildren; 2 twin great-granddaughters;
brothers-in-law, Eugene Stockdale and wife, Linda of Fort
Dodge, Robert Stockdale and wife, Mary Ann of Duncombe,
James Stockdale and wife, Jan of Cummings, Jerold Stockdale
and wife, Robin of North Dakota, Kenneth Stockdale and wife,
Pam of Mason City, David Stockdale of Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
Timothy Stockdale and wife, Linda of Lewisville, Texas, Mark
Stockdale and wife, Kris of Eagle Grove, Leonard Fevold and
wife, Lori of Oxford and Tom Fevold and wife, Lynn of
Goldfield; sisters-in-law, Betty Rasmussen and husband, Tony
of Springfield, Oregon, Connie McConnell of Ankeny, Diane
Terwilliger and husband, Doug of Ottoson, Luann Brickei and
husband, Tom of Ankeny, Doris Madson of Eagle Grove, Marcia
Sadler and husband, Tim of Eagle Grove and Julie Kludt and

Thomas R. Terry
February 18, 2010
Thomas Ruell Terry, 83, of Colfax, formerly of
Clarion, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at the Iowa
Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 13, at the Ewing
Funeral Home in Clarion, with Pastor Warren Curry
officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.
Thomas Ruell Terry, was born on March 15, 1926 in Rader,
Missouri, the son of James M. and Hester E. (Ikerd) Terry.
He grew up in the Rader area until he joined the Navy during
World War II and served as a Sea Bee stationed in the
Aleutian Islands, building airfields for planes going to
Russia.
Tom married Lila L. Keeling on May 30, 1946 and the couple
made their home in Clarion. He worked as a bricklayer, a
butcher at the Clarion Locker and then for 32 years with
the D.O.T. He was well known for building and remodeling
homes around Clarion.
After retiring, Tom moved north of Colfax, Iowa, near his
daughter, Kathy.
Tom is survived by his son, Johnny (Judith) Terry of West Des
Moines; his daughter, Kathy Mathews of Colfax; three
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law,
Bertha Terry of Conway, Missouri and Irene Keeling of Clarion.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lila in 2006;
three sisters; and four brothers.

Edith Nikkel

Edith Nikkel, 89, of
Kanawha, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010, at the
Kanawha Community Home in Kanawha.
Funeral services were held
on Wednesday, February 17, at the Kanawha Christian Reformed
Church in Kanawha, with Pastor Steve Schulz officiating.
Burial will be in the Amsterdam Township Cemetery in
Kanawha, when snow conditions permit.

Edith Van
Dokkumburg
February 25, 2010
Edith Van Dokkumburg,
passed away on Friday, February 12, 2010, at the Kanawha
Community Home, at the age of 89.
Edith was born on April
23, 1920 in Oosterend, The Netherlands. She was the second
of six children born to Sytze and Jessie (Nauta) Van
Dokkumburg. She, along with her parents and sibling, Ida,
came to the United States when she was about two years of
age. Edith attended schools in the Sioux County area. After
graduating, she taught elementary at Sully Christian, Pella
Christian, Pella Lincoln and the Kanawha Public School.
On June 11, 1943, she
married the love of her life, John Nikkel. They were blessed
to have four children, Doug (Helen) Nikkei of Clarion, Kris
(Brent) Smith of Goldfield, Julie (Paul) Marshall of Cedar
Rapids and Jim (Beckie) Nikkel of Santa Rosa, California.
Edith was a devoted wife
and mother, and her family was always her top priority. She
played active roles in her church and community. Edith
enjoyed music, was organist in church services, loved to
write and was the founder and editor of the CRC Happenings
for many years. She found fulfillment in gardening, flowers,
homemaking and nurturing children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her
memory are her four children and their spouses; twenty
grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; along with
countless nieces and nephews.
Her surviving siblings
are, Ida Bush of Highland, Indiana, Wilma Mulder of Grand
Rapids, Michigan, Webb (Ruth Mary) Van Dokkumburg of
Hendersonville, North Carolina and Stan (Mary) Van
Dokkumburg of Jenison, Michigan.
Preceding her in death
were her beloved husband, John in 1997; her parents; sister,
Jess Kooistra; and three brothers-in-law, Henry Bush, Lou
Mulder and Dick Kooistra.
Edith was a true prayer
warrior for her entire family and that will be greatly
missed! Her energy, her sense of humor, her acceptance of
all people, her devotion to family and love for her Lord, is
the legacy she leaves.

Margaret H. Morris

Margaret H. Morris, 84,
passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2010, in Harlingen,
Texas.
A memorial service will be
held at the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion, at a
later date in the spring time.
Margaret was born on
February 25, 1925 in Wright County, Iowa, to Roscoe and
Hazel J. Campbell. She graduated form the Clarion High
School with the class of 1943.
Margaret is survived by
her husband, Robert J. Morris; her children, Barbara (Bob)
Krauel, Jane (Rick) Manser, Tim (Katie) and Lori (Rich)
Busch; fifteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Marvin G. Bachman
February 25, 2010
Marvin G. Bachman, age 47,
of Klemme, died on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Muse
Norris Hospice Inpatient, Mason City, surrounded by his
family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held
on Thursday, February 18, at the Klemme United Methodist
Church. The Reverend Paddy Druhl officiated. Burial was in
the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Those wishing to express
their sympathies through a memorial in Marvin's name may
wish to direct them to the family or the donor's choice.
Marvin Gene Bachman, the
son of Eugene and Janice (Swanson) Bachman, was born on July
14, 1962, at Belmond. He attended and graduated from the
Klemme High School with the class of 1980 and later went on
to attend the North Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, where
he studied automotive related subjects. As a young man Marv
was active in various extracurricular activities, including
baseball, basketball and was an excellent football player.
Marv was a farmer
throughout his entire life, with Bachman family farms. He
loved the farming profession and working the land. As the
years went by he continued this loved profession and
expanded his ambitions into the trucking industry. Marvin
was united in marriage to Carrie Sorenson on July 13, 2002.
Following their marriage the couple expanded the trucking
operations and started Riverview Farms and Trucking which
they have owned and operated since they were married.
Marvin was a single father
for many years prior to marrying Carrie and relished this
role and the challenges and rewards that it brought in
caring for the needs of his children.
Marvin's memory will live
on in the lives and hearts of his surviving wife and
partner, Carrie Bachman of Klemme; daughter, Dani (Nick)
Neubauer of Hampton; his sons, Chris Bachman and fiancée,
Tera of Klemme, Chandler (Chelsvig) Bachman and Jameson (Chelsvig)
Bachman, both of Belmond; two grandchildren; his parents,
Eugene and Janice Bachman of Clear Lake; his mother-in-law,
Barb Gremmer of Meservey and father-in-law, Keith Sorenson
of Britt; and cousins, extended family and friends, and his
beloved companions, Sadie and Sparky.
He was preceded in death
by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his uncle,
Albert Swanson.

Edith Sayers

Edith Sayers, passed away at the Boulder Manor Care Center
in Boulder, Colorado, on Saturday, February 13, 2010.
She was born on October 4,
1912 in Wright County, Iowa. Her parents were John and
Nellie Tesdahl. Edith had five sisters and one brother. They
were Alma Christensen, Dena Hanson, Gladys Sharp, June
Hansen, Ruth Skogoboe and Newman Tesdahl. All preceded her
in death.
Edith grew up on a farm
and enjoyed helping her father plant and harvest. During her
secondary school years she worked as a nanny in Clarion.
Upon high school graduation in 1931 she moved to Humboldt.
At a church social she met
Donald Sayers of Dakota City. They eloped and married in
Kansas City, Missouri on July 3, 1936. Following their
marriage they farmed the Garfield and Reasoner farms in
Humboldt County. Edith's husband passed away in 1943 at the
age of 33, after a long and difficult bout with Hodgkin's
disease.
Edith worked 24 years as a
medical assistant and office manager for family practice
physicians Ivan and Nelle Schultz of Humboldt. At age 55,
she moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she worked for 10
years as a medical assistant to allergy specialists, Dr.
Mark Menzel and Dr. Lloyd Gellman.
Edith was active in her
churches from childhood into her 90's. She participated in
Bible study groups and did church-related volunteer work.
Edith traveled with her
son, Don, to many regions in the US and the world. One of
her favorite journeys was to visit the birthplace of her
grandparents in Norway.
Edith is survived by her
son, Don Sayers of Niwot, Colorado; one granddaughter and
three great-grandchildren of the Phoenix area.
A memorial service will be
scheduled at a future date.

Cunningham

Jewell M. Cunningham, of
San Antonio, Texas, formally of Goldfield, went to her
Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 14, 2010.
Memorial services will be
held on Tuesday, February 23, at 11:00 a.m., with family
graveside services at a later date.
Jewell was born on
February 23, 1920 in Long Beach, California. She was raised
there by her parents, James and Anna (Dombrasky) Taylor.
Jewell married Daryl Cunningham on April 6, 1947. To this
union two children were born. The family lived in Long
Beach, California, until they moved to the Cunningham family
farm in April 1956. Jewell worked for the Clarion Memorial
Hospital for 25 years, first as a nurse's aide and then as
the purchasing agent.
Jewell was active in her
church and community. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Bible
School Teacher, Trustee, Emma Henry Circle, Legion
Auxiliary, Sew Sew Club, Boy Scout Leader and a girls' 4-H
Leader. She loved traveling with her husband and friends to
various countries and states. Jewell loved painting
pictures, ceramics and wood and spending time with family
and friends.
Surviving are her
children, Daryl (Sue) Cunningham of San Antonio, Texas and
Diane (Dean) Nelson of Goldfield; 6 grandchildren; and 11
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by her husband of 31 years, Daryl; 2 sisters, Gladys and
Cloye; 1 brother, Orville; and great-grandson, Jonathon.

Lorraine E. Young
February 25, 2010
Lorraine
E. Young, 85, of Clarion, passed away on Sunday, February
14, 2010, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.
Memorial services were
held on Friday, February 19, at the First United Methodist
Church in Clarion, with Rev. Don Morrison officiating. The
Ewing Funeral Home of Clarion is assisting the family in
carrying out Lorraine's wishes. Memorials may be sent to the
First United Methodist Church, Clarion or to the Wright
Medical Foundation, Clarion.
Lorraine Elizabeth Young,
daughter of Miles and Lilace (Richards) Bushnell, was born
on June 17, 1924 in Manchester, Iowa. Lorraine graduated
form the Manchester High School. Lorraine was married to
William "Bill" E. Young of Manchester, Iowa on September 5,
1946. To this union were born three children, Deana
Lorraine, William "Bill" Richard and Burdette "Bud" Austin.
Returning to college in
1970, Lorraine graduated magna cum laude from Iowa State
University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She taught
school in Dows, Goldfield and Clarion, and was a substitute
teacher for many years following her fulltime teaching
career. Lorraine worked at the Sumners Insurance Agency in
Clarion until retiring in 2009.
Lorraine cared deeply for
her family, her friends, her church and for the community of
Clarion. She served on fundraising committees for the new
Clarion Aquatic Center and the elementary playground. She
served on the Enhancement Committee and helped with
fundraising for the Clarion Public Library remodel. Music
was in Lorraine's bones. She played the piano for many
contest groups, Five for One and the First United Methodist
Church Praise Team.
Lorraine is survived by
two sons, William Richard and wife, Nancy Jensen Young of
Ankeny and Burdette Austin and wife, Bonnie Darbyshire Young
of Clarion; son-in-law, Mitchell Stock of Modesto,
California; seven grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; one
brother, Richard Bushnell and wife, Gloria of Manchester;
one sister-in-law, Jean Young of Manchester; and numerous
nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in
death by her husband, Bill; parents, Miles and Lilace
Bushnell; and her daughter, Deana Stock.

Marilyn Joan (Tammen)
Morgan
February 25, 2010
Marilyn
Joan (Tammen) Morgan, of Clarion, rested from her earthly
journey on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, after a brave and
inspirational fight against cancer.
In celebration of Marilyn's life, a prayer/memorial service
was held at the Ewing Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21,
with Pastor Bill Kem officiating. Marilyn will be taken to
her home church for funeral and burial services at the St.
John's Lutheran Church in Craig, when snow conditions allow
for burial.
Marilyn was born to John and Nora (Osterthun) Tammen on the
family farm, outside of Chatsworth, Iowa. She attended
school in Chatsworth and Craig and graduated from the LeMars
High School in 1954. Marilyn continued her education at
Wartburg College in General Business. She was employed with
New York Life Insurance in Sioux City. Marilyn was untied in
marriage to Lyle M. Morgan of Sioux City, on May 11, 1958 in
the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Craig, Iowa. The
couple resided in Sioux City where she was a wife, homemaker
and mother to their two daughters, Kollene and Loralie.
The family moved to Clarion in 1970, where she made a warm
and loving home while working side by side with Lyle as an
abstractor at the Wright County Land and Title Company.
Marilyn was dedicated to an active life with membership at
the First Lutheran Church in Clarion, enjoying celebrations
with family and friends, supporting their children's
activities, bowling and 4-H participation.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lyle;
daughters, Kollene Steiner of New Providence and Loralie
(Jack) Ashton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; eight
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat
Tammen of Farmer City, Illinois; sisters, Janice (Bill)
Renken of Brunsville, Iowa and Ardis Rozell of Clarion;
brother, Rodney (Rhonda) Tammen of LeMars; and nephews,
nieces, great-nephews and nieces and many cousins and
friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nora
Tammen; brother, Virgil Tammen; son-in-law, Lyle Steiner;
baby grandson, Ryan Steiner; and nephews, Kevin and Keith
Renken.

Francis "Frannie"
Claude

Francis
"Frannie" Claude, 70, of Clarion, passed away on Wednesday,
February 24, 2010, at the Careage of Clarion.
Funeral services were held on Monday, March 1, at the First
United Methodist Church in Clarion, with Pastor Don Morrison
officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Jule Francis "Frannie" Claude, was born on July 29, 1939, to
Jule Archie and Fern Fannie (Loux) Claude, on the Loux
family farm in Wall Lake Township near Woolstock. Frannie
moved into Woolstock on his second birthday and attended
school in the Woolstock, Wall Lake #9 and Clarion Schools
where he graduated in 1958. Following high school, Frannie
worked for Shupe Hardware, the Iowa Department of
Transportation and Hagie's in Clarion, prior to becoming
self-employed as an electrician in 1972. Frannie was united
in marriage to Beverly Jean Anderson on June 16, 1962 and to
this union, one daughter, Cathy Jo Claude, was born.
Frannie enjoyed going to wrestling meets, vegetable
gardening (there wasn't room for flowers in his garden),
reading and spending time with family and friends. He was a
hard worker who enjoyed the challenge of repairing or
rebuilding anything that wasn't working properly, be it as
small as a flashlight, or as large as a grain dryer.
Frannie is survived by his wife, Beverly of Clarion; one
daughter, Cathy of Cassville, Missouri; two grandchildren;
one great-granddaughter; one brother, Gary (Edwina) Claude
of Clear Lake; one niece and three nephews.
Frannie is preceded in death by his father, Jule Archie
Claude on January 31, 1995; and his mother, Fern Claude on
January 18, 2010.

Mathew Rink, age 64, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away
on Friday, February 26, 2010, in Georgia.
Funeral services will be
held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 5, at the Church of
Christ, Clarion, with the Pastor Warren Curry officiating.
Interment will be in the Clarion Evergreen Cemetery in
Clarion. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services
at the church.
He was survived by his
wife, Mabel Rink of Flowery Branch, Georgia; daughter, Lisa
M. Lane and husband, David of Mason City; sons, Mathew J.
Rink and wife, Kristie of Loganville, George A. "Tony"
Carlson and wife, Tracey of Pekin, Illinois, Douglas M. Rink
and wife, Nissa and David A. Rink and wife, Jenny, all of
Des Moines, Timothy Lucas Rink and Jerry Wayne Rink, both of
Flowery Branch; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, Mathew and Bertha Rink; and sisters, Mary
Margaret Weir and Georgia Rink.

Paul
E. Maxheimer, 82, of Clarion, died on Saturday, February 27,
2010, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion.
Masonic rites were held on Wednesday, March 3, at the
Clarion Church of Christ. Funeral services were held on
Thursday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Warren Curry
officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.
Graveside military services were conducted by the Clarion
American Legion and VFW. Visitation was held on Wednesday,
March 3, at the church.
Paul was born on June 21, 1927, on the family farm in
Lincoln Township, the son of Elmer E. and Isel L. Maxheimer.
He graduated from the Clarion High School in 1945. He served
in the U.S. Navy as Fireman 1st Class aboard the U.S.S.
Topeka during World War II in Japan, China, Philippines and
Guam. He returned home to continue farming, which was his
joy.
Paul married Betty Sullivan to which he was blessed with
three children, Paula (Mike) Golob of Norwalk, Connecticut,
Ron (Kim) Maxheimer of Belmond and Debbie Owen of Des
Moines. On September 4, 1984 Paul married Naomi Cordiner and
welcomed her children, Linda (Greg) DeNio and Rob (Yondo)
Cordiner as his own. Also surviving are his 11
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Lee J.
Maxheimer of Clarion; one sister, Alice June Sams of
Whitten, Iowa; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
He enjoyed spending time
with his family and friends, being a part of his church
family, helping whomever and whenever needed, restoring
tractors and woodworking. Paul was a Past Master of the
Bower Masonic Lodge #464, of Eagle Grove. He was a member of
the El Kahir Shrine Temple of Cedar Rapids and the Wright
County Shrine Club.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,
Randall E. Matson and Robert D. Maxheimer; and one sister,
Irma Jean Maxheimer.
